What is Psychodynamic Counselling/Therapy
Why consider psychodynamic counselling/Therapy?
Counselling and Psychotherapy generally involving talking to another person who is trained to listen and think in a sensitive and particular way. Psychodynamic Counselling is rooted in psychoanalytic theory and aims to provide a neutral, consistent and safe place in order to explore, process and understand better how we behave and what motivates us and so enable change to take place in our lives.
It is not advice giving but can help you to gain insight into patterns of behaviour often rooted in childhood experiences, but which remain unconscious and can leave you feeling stuck in your life, often blocking achievement or fulfilling relationships or preventing you from having a more grounded sense of self and identity.
